Dallas Eye Care Associates

Dallas, Texas

Engineer of record for a 39,000 square foot, three story building that will house eye clinical and surgical suites. The first floor is open to be used as parking. The structure consists of composite steel beams. Lateral forces are resisted with type 2 steel moment frames. To accommodate the surgical rooms on the third floor a vibration analysis was performed for this area

 

Health & Fitness Center – Edward Hospital

Woodridge, Illinois

Structural engineer for this $15 million health and fitness center. Challenges on this project included a mechanical basement that is located 5 feet below and adjacent to a lake requiring the basement to be designed to prevent floating.

 

Health & Fitness Center – Rehabilitation

Crystal Lake, Illinois

Lead Structural Engineer for the new health and fitness center developed by a northern Illinois hospital.

 

 

 

 

 

Lufkin Memorial Medical Office Building

Lufkin, Texas

This medical office building is currently in the final design stage. It is a 60,000 square foot, three story building utilizing composite steel beams and type 2 wind frames to provide plan flexibility without increasing structural cost associated with type 1 moment frames.

 

 

Oncology Care Center

Belleville, Illinois

Designed 8,000 square foot linear accelerator addition to existing medical clinic. Design was integrated with new entry porte coche.

 

 

 

 

 

 

OSU Linear Accelerator

Stillwater, OK

Project Engineer for a 2,200 square foot addition to house a linear accelerator. To protect the areas outside of the structure from radiation, the wall and roof were constructed with cast-in-place concrete. The concrete walls and roof are up to seven feet thick.

 

 

V.A. Linear Accelerator

Dallas, Texas

Engineer of record for linear accelerator addition. This structure was placed adjacent to existing structure on three sides. Due to proximity to existing building, concrete walls and roof were up to eight feet thick.
